Lessons are given once a week for half hour or hour, depending on the student abilities.

Audition and performance preparation is available for middle school, high school, and college.

Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels.

Ages 6 years to adult.

Must provide own instrument.
Beginners
Electric & Upright Bass, Acoustic & Electric Guitar
Learn the instrument and the strings. Naming notes on the fretboard. Learn to read music. Using the metronome. Beginning music theory. Students learn simple songs and beginning technical exercises.
Intermediate
Electric & Upright Bass, Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Intermediate Jazz Theory for All Instruments, Intermediate Technique, Audition and Performance Assistance
Major/Minor Scales, Chords, and Arpeggios. Basic blues progressions. Introduction to jazz modes. Introduction to soloing, comping, and walking. Students play more difficult pieces and learn to play with a backing track.
Advanced
Electric & Upright Bass, Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Advanced Jazz Theory for All Instruments, Advanced Technique, Audition / Performance Prep
Advanced application of modes. Soloing over complex chord progressions. Odd meter. Transposition. Composition. Advanced technique. Rhythm section training. Students learn to play advanced pieces with a focus on ensembles.
